Fly north along the Coast to Manda Island and a boat
transfer to Lamu, which is an old unspoiled Arab town with fascinating
streets too narrow for motor vehicles. A large fort built by Omanis in
1813 dominates this little town as do the famous carved Lamu doors and
Arab architecture. A visit to the museum and lunch at a hotel. Your afternoon
is free for exploring the beautiful beaches before returning to Mombasa.
