Day 1 Arusha Base Hotel (D)
Arrive at the capricorn Hotel at your leisure and spend the reminder of the day preparing for your ascent of the mountain. Overnight: Capricorn Hotel

Day 2 Mandara Hut 8,856 ft (BLD) During to the 3-4 hours walk through the rain forest you will climb about 2800 feet and cover approximately 8 km before stopping for the night. Overnight: Mandara Hut

Day 3 Horombo hut 12,450 ft (BLD)
A 5 to 7 hour trek takes you from the upper part of the rain forest into rolling moorlands. Today you will have gained about 3300 feet and covered 11kms. Overnight: Horombo Hut

Day 4 Kibo Hut 15,450 ft (BLD)
During your 6 hour walk through giant groundsel up to the kibo saddle, vegetation will begin to thin out. Cross the Alpine desert desert of the "saddle", the are between kibo and Mawezi and stop for the night. Distance covered today: about 3200 feet and 11 kms. Overnight: Kibo Hut

Day 5 Summit Day 19,340 ft (BLD)
Leaving shortly after midnight, the tough 5-hour climb is up close scree. Arrive at Gillmans point as dawn breaks and then the final ascent to uhuru peak. After photographs, return to Kibo Hut for a short rest. Continue to descent for about six hours to arrive back at Horombo Hut for the night. Overnight: Horombo Hut

Day 6 base Hotel (BLD)
An easy decent takes takes you to Marangu Gate where you are transferred to your based hotel for a celebraton. Overnight: Capricorn Hotel

Day 7 Aretha (B)
After breakfast you are transferred into Aretha Tomn.
